Laibhe

*'Laibhe' is gaelic for Lava*

Laibhe was born to Aysu and Sunspot in their seventh year after a very difficult pregnancy for Aysu. Aysu fell pregnant during Coigreach; the strange inexplicable occurrences and constant stream of packs needed help led to Aysu being very overworked and completely exhausted with barely enough energy to focus on her own needs. Sunspot was so terrified of losing his mate and unborn pup that he prayed to the unknown for guidance; it was soon granted on the night of Laibhe's birth.

As the newborn furball took her first shaky gasps of life, a cold gust of wind of wind blew through the nursery adding an eerie chill. Aysu protectively drew her daughter closer while Sunspot's hackles rose, strange voices echoed through the den proclaiming that the aid Sunspot had asked was here. Two Faelci, Caelan and Ailill, appeared in a burst of light, nosing aside Aysu's tail to grasp the tiny pup in their jaws, weighing her. Caelan and Ailill nodded to each other and set down Laibhe beside Aysu's warm belly fur. They murmured in synce 'Sunspot's prayers have been answered. We will protect this wolf, she is special.'

Since that day Laibhe is always accompanied by the playful Ailill and the cunning Caelan.

Laibhe did not open her eyes as fast as the other pups had, something that worried Aysu and Sunspot, but they were reassured it was perfectly natural. One sunny day, Laibhe finally started to blink her eyes open, Aysu excitedly called over Sunspot but her voice broke as Laibhe's eyes weren't the orange of her mother and grandmother but instead a pale pink reminiscent of the moonlight present during her birth. Ailill and Caelan smirked to each other, Laibhe had been blessed with seeing beyond the void.

Laibhe was prepared for her role of pack leader by her parents and (with the begruding permission of Aysu) Ailill and Caelan. When she became lead upon her mother's death, Laibhe was devasted but felt gratitude to her parents for having given her the knowledge to run the pack.
