Biography
As Dubraska mixed up medicines near the dead of night, drowsiness began to bite at her. The she-wolf's body felt weaker and heavier, her vision growing slightly blurry.
"Perhaps it's time I take a rest. The drowsiness is biting at me. After all, I've done this for most of the day, yet I'd enjoy nothing less." She smiled, her paws retreating from the mortar and pestle for what she hadn't known would be the final time.
Herb looked at Dubraska with silent worry, knowing her time was soon gone. He gave her a kind smile and a nod. The elderly bear seemed everlasting to Dubraska, having been around since before her first pack had joined together. He was not only a herbalist, but a medium--his own ancestors and former herbalists forever guiding him to help the future.
"Go rest, I will be here when you return. Spend tonight with your pack--I will finish up your tasks for you." The bear gave a sad smile.
Dubraska nodded, padding away.
This was the last time Herb saw Dubraska alive. Her time would soon come.
She would pass away in her sleep, her death quiet and painless.
Beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Herbalist.
