Anubis Jackalhyde aims a crude joke your way, loud enough for the entire pack to hear.

Anubis Jackalhyde is stretching and lifts their bum with their tail raised high right in your face as you walk by. Subtle!

Anubis, Egyptian god of the dead. He had gotten used to his role, the one he had for almost thousands of years. One day, a jealous mortal began to hunt the Egyptian gods. He wielded a weapon, capable of cutting divine flesh. Anubis managed to injure the mortal, but in turn was mortally wounded.
In order to preserve Anubis' power and life, Ra sealed his soul into the body of a wolf. In a new form and still being able to use his ability, Anubis needed to find a way to reach his divine life once more.
Soon he found out that he underestimated Women, Anubis had gotten curious. Due to this he decided to see what pregnancy was like. Ra had deliberately forgotten that Anubis' new body was female.
Pregnancy wasn't that bad.. aside from the back pain, the weight of his stomach, and the agony of giving birth. He was a genuinely good person but he just didn't care for it. Heats were a pain in the ass so he just spent the night with someone and dealt with the resulting agony of giving birth.
He lived a great life, he just wished he could do more. He hadn't regained his divinity and growing old was strange yet fulfilling. He took for granted just how good mortals are. Though some may be evil and cruel, most were decent and friendly. As Anubis lay surrounded by his pack, the family he had bonded with, he took his final breath and closed his eyes.
He awoke, heat bearing down on him. The sun felt unbearable, though he groaned refusing the energy to force himself up. Eventually, the burning sand, aided by the scorching sun did force him to stand.
He found that he returned to his more human-ish form. Staring up at the sun, he was welcomed by his father. Ra stood proud upon a high rock, lit up by the sunlight beaming around him. "Welcome home, Anubis"
Anubis soon returned, he found himself watching the packs everyday life. Their struggles, their fortunes, their life, their death. When a wolf died he gave them a decision. To either stay her on earth and live on as a spirit, only visible to Spirit Seer's, or let their spirits rise to the afterlife. Most chose to stay, to guide their family through the words of a Spirit Seer, or just to see how they were getting along.
Anubis returned to claim the soul of a small pup, she was just old enough to open her eyes. Though as he readied to unbind the mortal body to the spirit, she opened them. They were faded with the shadow of death, but it disappeared slowly and Anubis felt the pup slipping from his grasp.
The mother had been wailing in pain over the loss of her pup. Until the small girl pushed herself to her feet and beamed brightly at Anubis. "Hello! Who are you?" She asked and Anubis responded politely with his name. He loved it when creatures were able to pull through. Gods were similar to spirits, they were only visible when they wanted to be. However, when a Spirit seer was around they were never truly hidden.
Since the age of Zephyr's Wind, wolves from this pack were not named in this fashion. Could he truly do this? Name the pup after him? Would that be a bad thing to do?
The mother had perked up, a recognition in her eyes. In this pack, Spirit Seer's were widely recognized and accepted. They were the only way to speak to the dead. "Who are you talking too?" She asked, the small pup turned, "i'm talking to a guy named Anubis, he's a cool tall creature with a black canine head and gold marks!"
"Wait? Are you saying my friend, Anubis was god?" She turned to the place she was looking, "Anubis, my friend. If you are really a god i hope you will give a blessing to this pup. Then she won't be sick and i'll have something to remember you by."
Anubis revealed himself, "please do not ask me to name her after me because you miss me, this pup is her own being. I don't want a pup to grow up thinking she has to live up to my name as a wolf or a god. Small Spirit Seer, i shall return once you are older. I will give you a decision that may change your life. It's very important, for now just be a pup. Live your life and know i will be watching your progress. You will become a fine lady, and no matter what you choose i will be proud of you." Anubis gently pat the small pup on the head and smiled warmly.
What Anubis didn't know was that this decision would break a curse that no one but Zephyr's Wind knew about. A curse that kept most gods from gifting wolves with new names and special powers. Anubis wasn't included in that list, so when he did this he broke a multi generational curse that had been here for years.
