Kotsim is Abaise's mate, and the second-in-command of the pack, and used to be the pack's lead scout. Kotsim was the first to join Abaise once she arrived in the grassland they now call home and is committed to staying by her side. He is always there to offer her advice or encouragement. He has a raven helper and friend named Wowasi, who he found injured when she was barely older than a fledgling. He brought her back to the pack's camp and nursed her back to help, and the young raven decided to stay with him and the pack. She joins him on scouting missions to provide aerial assistance and occasionally helps the hunting party if they are having a rough time finding prey. When he retired from scouting, Wowasi became Smoke Cloud’s scouting partner, though she still spends most of her time with Kotsim.
