Hazel's dead corpse was found on a river bank a few miles from your territory. She had been washed away by the current. Fox assumes she had jumped into the river and drowned after she heard the news of her brother's death.

"I just lost a pup! I'm not in the mood to play, Bear!" Robin snapped. Bear whimpered but left the den to find her siblings. Fox nosed her way into the nursery, her head lowered. "Robin? I have some bad news." Robin looked at the tired scout. "What?" "Hazel—" "Have you seen her? I couldn't find her this morning." "I know where she is!" A little grey pup squeaked. The two she-wolves stared at Pumpkin. "Where did she go? Did she say anything?" Pumpkin nodded. "She went to the river. She said she wanted to see Sage." Pumpkin paused, a look of confusion on her face. "But Sage died two days ago. How could she see him?" Robin's eyes widened in realization. "Is she okay, Fox?" Fox shook her head. "She's in the clearing." Robin bounded out of the den and let out a cry as she saw Hazel's black and brown body in the middle of the camp. Her drenched pelt spiked up in random places and her eyes were screwed shut. Robin's head dropped, as if she had given up. "I can't do this anymore." Chestnut padded up beside her. "You have to think about Pumpkin right now. She just lost both her littermates." Robin didn't respond but turned to pick up her only surviving pup. "Let's go Pumpkin." She glance over at her dead daughter one last time. "Goodbye Hazel. I hope you see Sage once again." she whispered.
