Named after the fifth discovered asteroid.
Astraea acts as a stalker in a hunting party, utilising her keen senses to help track prey. She gets very immersed in her role, only seeming to utter a few words when actively hunting. Her other party members -- Eros, Callisto and Pereyra -- would say that she is very intense while stalking and that it's probably a blessing for the ecosystem that she isn't a finisher, as she would cause any potential prey to willingly keel over if they met her stern blue eyes.
She is the one who first encountered Vesta. Astraea, a lone wolf devoid of a family, found an injured, unconscious Vesta in a large crater in the mountain ranges. After scaring off the curious ravens, she revived the mysterious wolf. After a brief, prickly introduction, Astraea agreed to accompany Vesta and teach her the basics of surviving until she was completely healed. She helped Vesta adapt to this planet, providing nuggets of wisdom such as "Yes, you can eat that" to "This is called a 'tree'", to "No, no, no, gravity doesn't work like that, you can't fly off that cliff!" There were many hiccups, but Astraea eventually warmed up to Vesta, the two sleeping close and chatting with ease.
When Vesta was well again, and when she was competent enough to survive on her own, Astraea hesitated to separate. Astraea, once craving the idea of living alone, had become accustomed to Vesta's company. Luckily for her, Vesta shared the same sentiment. The two willing to leave behind their respective pasts, they decided to stick together to create a new life, and they've been a happy couple ever since.
