A puppy curious from the day he was born. Desperately wanting to know how the world works, Sleipnir III barely waited until adolescence before striking out. Though Achlys was unsure, she finally allowed it, so long as he promised to come home. Bright-eyed and cheerful, he couldn't wait to see what he'd find.

Starshade Pack (#50618)
Sleipnir III found himself in a large deciduous forest as the sun was setting. Autumn leaves crunched under his paws as the beautiful colors of the trees faded into dulled shades without the sunlight to illuminate them. It had been a long journey and he was ready to rest his paws for the night, when a strange blue mist caught his attention. Suddenly out of nowhere Sleipnir III found himself surrounded by snarling dogs on all sides. There were five of them, each with glowing blue fur along their back and tail. What the heck kind of dogs are these?? And how do I fight one on five? he thought in a panic.
As one suddenly lunged toward him, a loud howl stopped it in its tracks and all the dogs froze, looking up on a small rise in the trees. On it stood a wolf that shone as bright as a star. Her glow and strong build spoke of a seasoned wolf not afraid of a fight.
"You should know better than to pick on traveling wolves in our territory. Go! Leave him be!" The female barked in a harsh voice.
"Okay, okay, we're going!" One dog said back, turning tail and running into the trees.
"That's better. Lunar hounds in a pack always think they can make trouble for others. You alright? Name's Lenn by the way," the she-wolf spoke.
"Sleipnir III. Nice to meet you. And thank you," Sleipnir III replied with a soft wag of his tail. "What was up with those hounds? And how are you glowing?"
Lenn gave a soft, knowing smile. "This is Starshade Pack territory. Here, lunar energy is abundant. Lunar creatures come from their realm to visit this place often. Living amongst this lunar energy, Starshade wolves have a natural glow to them. Though I'm special because my glow is stronger than most. My pelt has colors of stardust that makes me glow more brightly. You're welcome to stay in Starshade for a while, I'll introduce you to Alpha Maleko," Lenn offered.
"That would be great, thank you!" Sleipnir III barked happily. He followed Lenn through the woods to where the trees grew so dense, not even start light breached the leaves. A den that is shaded even from starlight. Starshade, he realized. The roots overlapped and caused large hollows to form in the ground, where wolves had dug out dens to call their home.
Sleipnir III aided the pack by looking out for many of their energetic pups, learning from Lenn and her techniques and expertise the whole time. The two became good friends in no time, and when the time came to bid each other farewell, Lenn found a small jay that was fond of wolves and encouraged Sleipnir III to take it with him to remember both she and the Starshade Pack while on his travels.

Sleipnir III recognized the woods he found himself in in an instant. He ran through the trees to the densest part of the forest, barking a hello to the Starshade wolves.
Lenn recognized his scent and came to greet him with a happy wag of her tail. The two were happy to catch up and Sleipnir III was warmly welcomed back to Starshade territory. Sleipnir met one of the wolves he shared a den with, Kouji 浩司 , the pack's herbalist. He was quiet and reserved but kind and wise. Once Sleipnir III started talking with him, Kouji 浩司 was happy to teach him some of his tricks for finding and mixing herbs.
One night the two went for a walk and a large Pherris cougar stood before them. Its fur was raised on end but it made no motion to attack. It seemed more defensive. Sleipnir III braced himself for a fight, but Kouji 浩司 stepped between them. "Wait," he said.
Kouji 浩司 pulled a couple of herbs from his pouch and blended them well and then pushed it toward the large feline with his nose. The cougar seemed to understand and held its paw out to the two wolves, revealing a large gash.
Tenderly, Kouji 浩司 patched the cougar and the two creatures seemed to part with a deep understanding between one another. "Let's head back," Kouji 浩司 said to Sleipnir III, walking with a subdued sort of purpose back to the den.
The experience was so surreal to Sleipnir III and he vowed he wouldn't forget the kindness Kouji 浩司 was able to show even a threatening cougar.
As a gift of parting, Kouji 浩司 made a goldenseal accent for Sleipnir III to take with him. Sleipnir III happily took it with him into his next adventure.

Sleipnir found himself being led through the mountains by a strange wolf, at least he assumed it was a wolf. The pointed antlers and menacing aura hinted otherwise, but his greeting had been friendly enough. "Keeping up okay?" the wolf called over his shoulder "The rocks here tend to crumble without warning." Sleipnir III nodded, eyes glued to the barely visible path along the peaks. Soon enough the pair reached the home of the pack.
"Jester!" A voice growled as they approached, his guide rolling his eyes at the sound, a wolf marched towards them, annoyance clear in her movements. Her mouth opened but snapped shut at the sight of the traveler. Jester shrugged and walked off, nodding to Sleipnir III as he passed. "Sorry about that," The wolf sighed, "I hope he wasn't rude on your journey"
He assured her that the strange scout was nothing but pleasant as she led him to a cave in which he could rest. "You never know with him, I must be heading off, I am the lead wolf Eria if you need anything."
Once settled in the den, Sleipnir III was greeted by the other members of the pack who were very welcoming to travelers and eager to trade stories. While the mountain wolves were a little strange he found himself enjoying the stay. Though he did find himself concerned at the growling of the strange scout and lead wolf whenever the two encountered each other in passing.
When it came time for him to continue on his way he was still left wondering what happened between the two, but it was unlikely they would be meeting again to give him an answer.
