Kajo

Kajo (Finnish for "first light") is a wolf of many talents. In her previous pack, she was a longstanding Pupsitter, and in Tunturi pack she first chased prey as a Hunter. Yet, when the call came, she took easily to the Herbalist role and is proud of what she can still learn and how she can help her packmates in a new way. She's friendly and approachable as fits her position, and due to her previous experience, is a bit more down to earth than herbalists usually.

She is getting older and needs an apprentice soon. Since none of the current puppies show promise, she's resolved to have some puppies herself and train one of them up, if at all possible. Since her friend Kulta wanted to have some puppies at the same time, they formed a platonic pairbond to care for their future children together.

Before her puppies were born, she and Kulta adopted a lost young puppy with striking black-and-white markings. The male puppy was called Koivu. Kajo speculates that Koivu may be a child from another world, the same one from which the curious herbs and creatures of November have come from.

She had three puppies in the hopes of raising one of them as the next Herbalist, but in the end found an apprentice from Kulta's litter: Kuura has curious blue markings and a keen mind. She eventually retired upon Kuura's coming-of-age, but remained as a mentor in the Herbalist's den.
