Biography
Autumn no longer felt cold or windy to Rowan anymore.
The air was still, no sun in sight, no light emitting from the sky other than the strange glowing wisps covering the land.
Rowan huddled close to his friend, his fur soft and short, never being able to grow bigger than a newborn, leaving him vulnerable. with acorn by his side, though still young, her fur had grown long, ears and eyes widened to the world before them. The silence between them was always comforting, in this empty land, no one but each other to hold while they watch their parents howl.
"Acorn" he asked, voice slightly muffled as he pressed his face into her soft amber fur. Acorn peered down at her tiny friend, her spectral eyes glancing him up and down, "Yes, Rowan?" she said, her voice soft and sullen.
"what was my mom like?" he asked, it was always a question that lingered in his mind. Acorn was older than him, not just by moons, but she passed moons before him, and was old enough to remember his mother unlike Rowan.
Acorn thought for a moment, looking back at the empty field before them before replying, "She was strong, she didn't get along with my mother as well as either of them liked, but she still showed respect and kindness towards her" she kept going, her voice softening as she leaned back into the tiny pup beside her, "She lead with dignity, she was kind to us, to me. She never turned a pup away from her pack, in the end i think she wanted everyone to have a home" she stopped, closing her eyes as she took a deep breath, "i think if we lived, she would of wanted us to become siblings. She wanted us to be the family she never had, for all of us to never be alone again."
Rowan watched his friend closely as she nuzzled into him, her eyes closed and her body lax, he wished he could grow up with her, and be with their siblings once again. But this was alright too, just the two of them for now.
