While she is perhaps a bit to anxious for the role of mentor, often becoming overwhelmed when trying to mentor multiple pups at once. She knows it is a job that she needs to do and she does it to the best of her ability.

Moonlight had been a timid mess when she first joined the pack, cautious around most. Moonlight isn't sure just how Turquoise did it, but with some patience and resilience, he helped Moonlight to become more confident and to feel safer within the pack. The two becoming friends in the process.


History

Moonlight remembers very little of her original pack, it felt like she had been travelling on her own for as long as she could remember. She wasn't sure how she had survived as long as she had. She wasn't the best hunter, and her timid nature didn't help her in a fight. Truth be told, she probably would have died if it hadn't had been for Elk.

Elk had welcomed Moonlight into her pack with open paws, and Moonlight would never forget the wolf's generosity. It took her a while to adjust to being surrounded by so many other wolves, but they were kind to her and did their best to make her feel welcomed. After a while, Moonlight chose to take on the role of pupsitter. She knew she wasn't good at hunting or fighting, but the least she could do was to help raise the pack's pups.

Fern was… such an amazing wolf. Dedicated to their pack like no other and so kind as well. It was easy to see why they had been chosen as the packs heir. Moonlight truly admired the wolf, and it's possible that over time that admiration turned into something more. Not that it mattered, a wolf like Fern would never look her way... At least that is what she thought, so when Fern asked her to be their mate… Well… Moonlight was more then shocked. Moonlight certainly doubted her place as the wolf's mate but… Fern wouldn't hear of it, they only wanted Moonlight. No wolf else. Moonlight accepted the wolf's feelings, heart full of joy.

The two both agreed that having a litter of pups sounded nice, though Moonlight doubted her ability to be a good mother. Sure, she had raised plenty of pups as a pupsitter, but to have her own litter to be responsible for… No. She could do this. Her months living in the pack, being Fern's mate, had made her more confident in herself. Her and Fern had a litter of three, two boys and a girl. Moonlight adored her pups and swore to do everything in her power to make them feel loved and happy.

After Courser passed, Moonlight knew that it was finally time to take on the role of mentor. She certainly didn't feel prepared, but it was a job that most wolves had to endure for part of their life. Besides, she had experience with pups due to her life as a pupsitter. Now it was time to pass her years of experience on to the future generation.

On the 7th year and 6th month of her life, Moonlight made her way to the mountains summit. Ruby keeping her company through most of the journey. Once at the top, looking out at the endless sky, Moonlight was greeted by Elk, the wolf that originally welcomed her to this home, who gently guided her to the afterlife.
