SpoilerThe reason behind Zalvi's travels was unknown. She simply remembered it being this way for as long as her memory reached; it felt naturally right. The only thing that didn't seem ideal about her life was the inability to build lasting relationships, as everywhere she went, she left soon after. Regardless of this, she couldn't have it any other way.
She was chewing over this thought like a particularly tough piece of food when she came across a kittiwake. A bird! She crouched and crawled up to it, trying to seem as non-threatening as possible. The seabird seemed to get the idea, as it shuffled back excitedly and hopped unsteadily back to some cliffedge set ablaze with crowns of fireweed strewn across the rims. Zalvi sat down stiffly. Might as well stay here the night. High above sea level, as good a place as any.

Well. Almost. She could sense the presence of another wolf, but there were no signs or scents to suggest he was aggressive. Nonetheless, Zalvi stood up promptly, deciding it to be better to greet him than seem ignorant. Sure enough, he must've had the same idea, as he popped around a spruce, eyes shining, mouth glistening open.
"Hmrph! A loner?" he inquired, twitching an ear.
"Traveller," Zalvi corrected, padding forward and crouching to mirror his own actions of friendliness.
"Ah. Another one of your kind," he remarked, amused. Certainly, a conceited character, she thought in distaste, but his happiness was almost disarming. He quickly spotted and corrected himself.
"Op- well, I simply mean, Alsace has many travelers passing through. That's our territory you're on, anyways." regaining some charisma, he added "You didn't cross purposefully, I hope? I mean. You don't seem the malicious type, to do that. So either I'm reading into you wrong, or your nose must be tripping you up, because we refresh our borders daily and there's no way yo-"

Zalvi bopped him on the nose, and he fell silent. A youngster, like her, she thought, who can't shut his muzzle.

He huffed at her again. "Fine. You are here at Alsace's mercy, you know that? You wouldn't be here if we didn't want you here. Your scent had already been picked up by a hunting party before, but we could tell you weren't seeking to invade, so we left you. Still tracked you to here, though." he grinned briefly, resuming a serious expression a heartbeat later. "I'm escorting you to our leader. No protests," he added, as Zalvi opened her jaws. "Follow me. Be grateful"

Her captor/apparently-gracious-saviour, whose name turned out to be uncreative "Fox", was stupidly proud of himself as he reached his leader, Fenris, in their camp. Zalvi was pleased to discover that Fenris was much nicer to be around- during her stay, she made friends with an elder, Maine, who was also a retired herbalist, so she picked up on some knowledge of healing too. Unfortunately, Fox and his friends were there all the while, but they were nothing more than a nuisance.
At least, until Fox proved to be somewhat compassionate one day, on a hunting patrol. Zalvi was assigned to fill in for a chaser, and Fox was told to tag on too, much to Zalvi's displeasure- but he proved helpful when she tore open her leg on a barbed wire left by careless humans. No matter. He was still awfully frustrating, she thought.
Regardless, Zalvi had a fulfilling stay with Alsace and bid them farewell after around 6 moons.Decor(optional): Peach Rose Crown, Fireweed & Moonstone Cliffs
