MISTRAL, THE FATHER

A lonesome stormcloud descended once to cover a fire-scorched patch of pine forest, looking for companionship and finding only the hiss of steam as its raindrops touched the still-smouldering earth. It wept for the little ones who could not escape the flames, and wishes for buds and blossoms to bloom once again among the wreckage.

Thus, Mistral was born of the wind and the rain and the ash-laden mist, his heart bound to the spirits of little ones in need of all the protection a fearsome stormcloud can give. He attached himself to a creature of mist and fog and, together, they form the heart of a thriving little pack; his chosen job is that of tender and raiser of pups, all of whom he endlessly adores.
