Biography
Each story has a beginning, a middle, and an end. This part just happens to be the beginning...
Ahuli had an obsession, a complete desire that kept his legs and mind restless on moonless nights. He was born under a full moon, in the gentle time of spring to a small pack who's name has been long forgotten. His adventurous spirit kept the young pup on the move, and attracted the young female Tayen. He enticed her with stories from his mother and with grandiose ideas... One day.. He would touch the moon...
The need was all consuming in adolescent years, sending the pair out on scouting trips to look for mysteries on the nights of the full moon. Oftentimes, they had come into trouble, either from rogue wolves, other predators, or their very upset caregivers. Tayen and Ahuli both searched endlessly for this Lunar Relm the pack's old storyteller spoke of. It had to exist! But as of now, it seemed to only be a place for pups to dream of. Still, as they aged and their first birthdays grew near, their legs carried them closer and closer to the pack border.
The smell of the pack's breeder, scouts, and most notably their leader's scent was strong and intimidating at the border. Tayen froze even as Ahuli continued onward, unsure of their choice in continuing. Ahuli stepped boldly over the border and didn't bother to look back. A new scent was caught in his nose, and it didn't smell of any wolf he had ever met before. He broke into a run, the moon rising high over his frantic search. Finally it seemed to be coming to a head as he skidded to a stop in the opening. A solid black wolf stood before him, eyeing him with a kind look. She introduced herself as Tala, and proceeded to lead the young adult onwards into the wilds while she explained about the area. Ahuli thought her scent was odd, she smelled of everything and nothing all at once, but every time he tried to get close, he was bombarded with more information about pack life, love, and ruling his own pack. Feeling overwhelmed, he turned to distance himself from Tala, only to find her in front of him again. The moon was falling now, and the sun was starting to peak over the distant mountains. He was far, far away from his old pack, yet it felt like it had been only moments.. but thankfully a familiar scent brushed against his sensitive nose. Tala gestured toward the direction of the smell and let out a chuckle. "Go and find your new packmate!"
He rushed forward once more, and in a few swift bounds found a very nervous, yet overly excited to see him Tayen standing among the dense brush of the Deciduous Forest. For a few moments Tala watched to pair acquaint themselves, only to ask a single question, directed at Ahuli. "What is your new pack's name?"
Without pause, Ahuli new exactly what he was looking for, and exactly what he needed to do to get it. "Ina Ani." He nodded, "We seek the Moon Water, and live by the Moon's guidance." And with that, a new pack graced the lands...
Several years passed, and many members joined the Ina Ani, all following promises of finding the pup-hood story of the Lunar Relm. Ahuli was a fair leader, taking up the title Jarl, of which his father and leader had gone by.. However, Ahuli often let his judgement get swayed by promises of evidence or lies of Lunar Creatures running about. Because of this, the pack became mostly inhabited by more aggressive types, those still chasing the dream of finding this place..
Scouts were sent in every direction, with Ahuli's chosen mate, Hawksong leading them
