Biography
Shade was used to being misunderstood. He was constantly putting his foot in his mouth, which isolated him from his pack. He would constantly say things backwards or accidentally use the wrong words. A lot of the wolves in his pack called him a narcissist behind his back, and soon none of the mothers allowed their pups to play with them. He couldn't help how much he fumbled over his sentences or how stern his eyes looked! Everyone called him "the rude runt." Gossip spread all over the territory about what a cruel and unusual puppy he was. Everyone called him dishonest, and no one ever believed a word he said despite the fact he almost never lied or deceived. Shade was just about to give up and just accept he would always be alone when a female white wolf came into the territory, not much older than he was. She offered to buy him from the pack! To his amazement, the pack agreed, for the price of 5 gold cones; a steep price, but with him being melanistic it made sense. She happily agreed, and turned to him; almost as if she were asking if he wanted to come. He nodded, and with that she turned and began to leave. Shade happily followed behind the beautiful wolf in silence. When they made it to Beastenguard he was puzzled; where were all the happy wolves? In his pack the wolves prized their appearances and always forced a smile. Nothing could be out of place. His mother constantly cleaned him any time he got a spec of dirt on him. However, here there were wolves that scowled, wolves that howled, and wolves covered in head to toe in who knows what! With a yelp Shade ran off to play with the other pups his age. He had heard talk of Beastenguard before, of a new pack led by an incredibly young female wolf, and how it would never amount to anything. Shade had believed it at first, but now he knew how wrong they were. Maybe youth was what they all needed. Maybe how things were done needed to change. Shade would be more than happy to assist Daewn any way she needed in making that happen. He would hunt and teach the new generation of wolves how things should be. Shade would make sure no puppy felt confused or misunderstood ever again. Shade felt like he could be himself here, which meant he didn't have to hide or bite back his words. He went from being considered dishonest to incredibly bossy and loud-mouthed. He joined Coyle in Wanderlust as the team's second in command and sole Stalker.

6/27/23 Shade seems to freeze for a moment before baring their teeth and grumpily walking off. Looks like it worked! His personality changed from Dishonest to Bossy.
7/21/23 - One day Shade was training future hunters, and asked one of the pups to step forward as a volunteer. He dropped an incredibly nervous squirrel to the ground, and ordered the pup to pounce! However, the squirrel wasn't having it! It climbed onto another one of the pups, and with a howl of fear the pup ran through the woods, squirrel gripping the pup's back for dear life! Shade and his entire class had to chase the pair down through the woods, and then he had to explain to the parents why his class was so tuckered out. Shade may not be cut out for teaching, but it's a memory he'll never forget!
7/22/23 - Shdne pushes something in your direction, ordering you to take it. The gift and their attitude are so contradictory that you're not quite sure what to make of it.
8/12/23 - Today's lesson looked like a day full of play and fun, but Shdne carefully observed relations between all the pups which included their likes, dislikes, and personalities. Chip didn't seem to be problematic.
8/13/23 - Shade rolled the toy in deceptive scents today - dung, dead fish and even an ant hill! Paralysis Demon had to focus really hard to separate multiple scents entangled together to find the toy.
8/16/23 - With the carcass tied to a straw string, Shade pulled it to simulate prey movement. Calamity stalked and pounced on the "prey" successfully, and began to tear it apart before she was scolded to be more precise and not let food go to waste.
8/18/23 - 8/18/23 - Today, Shade invented several poses and expressions and Calamity had to guess what they meant. She struggled on some of them, but by the end she had gotten better and Shade was impressed with how quickly she learned.
1/25/24 - During the lesson: Shade made a test for Duchess Maria, checking if she could recognize herbs presented during the first lessons. Being an herbalist is a huge responsibility when a mistake can cost someone's life.
2/2/24 - During the lesson: With the carcass tied to a straw string, Shade pulled it to simulate prey movement. Lady Airam stalked and pounced on the "prey" successfully, and began to tear it apart before she was scolded to be more precise and not let food go to waste.
During the lesson: Shade instructed G2 T2 Frontal to be careful with herbs, as not all the parts could be used for medicines and it was also dependent on their growth cycle. G2 T2 Frontal learned when and where to gather the most necessary herbs.
During the lesson: Dysphoria MATE had a hard time distinguishing between nearly identical berries. In her opinion it was impossible to make such a decision as quickly as Shade wanted, but he explained that paying attention to detail was a must for an herbalist.

Tromso mate or pupsit? sat with several other pups as they whispered the same sentence around the circle and tried to keep it the same, but when it came back to Shade it was hilariously different than when it started.
