Biography
During one hunt, Centipede's group was attacked by a rather large group of cultists. Her group had to retreat but Centipede was cut off from the others and seperated. She ran away, being followed by four cultists - she could not take it on with them alone, she would be dead in an instant. Filled with fear, she fled into a cave near a pond, hoping they wouldn't look for her here.
She didn't know that the cultists could be her smallest problem here, as the cave was home to a gigantic creature: Beithir. The beast's footsteps echoed from one side to the other and Centipede started whining, thinking about her mother. The young wolf was cornered, no chance to escape and the creature came closer. She just got ready to bite the shewolf with her big mouth, green saliva dripping - when four wolves snarled at the entrance. They came closer into the dark cave, even though they couldn't see anything. Beithir quickly looked back towards them, turned around and ripped them apart. Centipede watched in horror - frozen, having no way to escape.
Beithir turned around again after she had devoured some of the enemies and looked the scared hunter in the eyes. "I am full. No need to worry", she growled. Centipede stared at her, knees weak. When she managed to cut out of her stare, the creature told her in a charming voice:"Come by again. I think, we could be friends." Centipedes pelt prickled of fear when she heard that and ran home without looking back once.
She could not sleep the night after that. And the next one. But whenever her hunting group got close to that area, Centipede became curious until she decided to visit the monster that saved her life. "You are late. I waited", growled the beast. Centipede regretted coming here, until the Beast continued talking:"You seem interesting. These other wolves were evil."
With a safe distance, Centipede started to enjoy conversations with Beithir, slowly growing closer. After months of visits, Beithir joined Centipede to her home - with the pack knowing in advance of course. She felt welcome and found a nice spot to move into: a cave near the lake next to the den site.
Beithir became a valuable warrior for the pack and also a close friend to Centipede.
