Born outside the pack, Addax was brought in as a yearling. As quick-witted as he is strong, he caught the eye of the former pack medic quite quickly. The grumpy Meriadoc took Addax under his wing to train as his student.
In Meriadoc's sunset years, Addax took over more and more of his duties to prepare. They stocked up on herbs, medicines, and Meriadoc imparted all the knowledge he could on the young male.
When his mentor passed, elder members of the pack were more vocal of their disappointment with Addax's becoming the new herbalist. But his cool, confident demeanor aided in his transition. While a bit green still, he is quickly earning his stripes as pack herbalist.
