Masticophis was a surprise of a pup. Her other half-siblings did not share her odd coat pattern nor the snake-like eyes that disturbed most of her packmates.
Spirit had been surprised, expecting another pup that looked like her, such as Sycamore or Mottled Bark. She never spoke to Masticophis about the intimidating wolf that was her father, which left Masticophis curious.
