River Gift

River Gift is the fourth herbalist of the Soft River Pack, and the third of his family, following the legacy of his great-grandmother and namesake, Husa (who was also named Wakpawaku).

River Gift is Feverfew's second youngest pup, followed only by his sister Boneset. From a young age he was trained to potentially replace his mother, as were all of her children. However, River Gift assumed his younger sister would be the one taking over. Feverfew decided to retire from her position early in order to enjoy her last years of life, and as such, River Gift was chosen to succeed her.

While unexpected, he is proud to follow in his family's footsteps, especially being named after and looking much like his great-grandmother Husa. He has sworn to carry on her legacy of being kind and gentle-hearted, while not afraid to stand up for his beliefs and his patients.

After many years as the pack's herbalist, River Gift has stepped down and passed the position on to Sunflower, breaking the long direct line of herbalist. However, with having no pups left in the pack, and with Sunflower taking an interest in herbalism, it was not a hard choice.
