Biography
The snapping of a twig echos behind you, and you whip your furry head to see nothing but the foggy forest you've been walking through. It feels like forever since you've entered this forest, the trees and foliage shaping around the densely packed trail.
Curious, you step closer to where you heard the snap, a breeze rustling the otherwise silent canopy. A faint shudder raced up your spine, bristling your fur as you sniffed and scented… nothing? But you were so sure there had been someone there, how could a twig snap without someone stepping on it?
Your head shot up, senses ringing like a alerting crow-caw. In the distance, you hear a warning howl. Did this forest belong to a pack? Were you trespassing?!
The fog seemed ever the more thicker, and with a jolt, you realize the path you had been following had somehow disappeared; but you know the direct you came from! Really! You look to the canopy and realize… you cant see the stars.
"What are you doing here." A smooth voice asked- no, demanded.
With a yelp, you turned to the voice, spotting weird eyes that you realized were glowing. The rest of the figure followed suit, almost as if they were allowing themselves to be seen. In front of you was a wolf with a satchel across their front, and fur seemingly glowing by itself, even in the foggy night. Their eyes, though… it was almost as if they were two tiny moons themselves.
"I said, what are you doing here." They repeated- no, she repeated, for the smooth voice was soft and slightly high pitched, and the wolf carried herself with a grace and elegance no dog could ever hope to replicate.
You attempt to explain, you words stammering and feeling awkward in your mouth. As you speak, her expression relaxes, almost looking… amused? You feel yourself fluster, but the atmosphere is less tense. After you are done explaining yourself, the grey wolf tilts her head upward, letting out a short howl that somewhat startles you.
For a moment, silence. Then from the fog, a young silvery fawn she-wolf emerges, a friendly expression on her face. The older grey she-wolf nods to you, "My niece, Metis will escort you out of these woods. She knows this territory better than even I, and you will be safe. If you ever choose to wander these trees again, howl. I will send someone to retrieve you, though its most wise not to. You are certainly lucky that you ran into me. There are worse things amidst."
With that chilling warning, you take a breath, calming your nerves as you ask… "Who are you?"
The she-wolf grins, "Cor Caroli, Alpha of Quasar Quarry."
