Accalia padded up to the ledge she loved to sit on to watch over her territory. She followed the worn-in path up the ridge blindly and it was clear that it had been trodden many times. She made it to a moss-covered overhang and laid herself down to rest away from her now large and growing pack. As she observed the familiar scenery she recalled how she knew every nook and cranny and there were never any more surprises. Her mind flashed back to how she got here and before long she was seeing back 3 years into the past and the trodden path no longer appeared to warn in.
The rain poured down on her lilac pelt and the flash of lightning changed her pelt an ominous grey tint in the dark as she ran. The young she-wolf jumped into a cave her muzzle and pelt covered in deep scratches. She was shaking and the sting of her escape gone wrong was still fresh on her mind. She thought of her best friend, Adolfo, and her heart snapped. He had died to help her escape. She stifled a whine as she thought about the events that took place. These were her father's woods. He was strong, kind, and fair. His pack respected him, but until now she had no idea how much deception laid in these woods. Her own uncle...her father's brother the cause. Her grandfather had passed him over for her father when he passed leaving the pack to her dad. She was her father's only living pup, making her the princess of these parts. She remembered the snarling and flurry of teeth from all directions and her dad's followers being ripped to shreds by the rogue wolves her uncle promised pack life to. Her uncle was the Alpha now...all her friends, her mom, and her dad were gone. She was freshly 1 year old and her chosen mate...her best friend had perished to help her escape. She was a long way from the rogue lands now and had settled in a new area thanks to the help of a lone wolf who called herself Tala. She had Alpha blood in her and she would start again in a new pack life.
She had indeed started again and found another mate named Aspen. She remembered his blue pelt marked with black patches and how she had only taken him for status and to gain the heart of the wolves that had lived in the mountain area. Aspen was kind and brave even though he was young as she was. She didn't love him and as he was setting up camp she had always offered to patrol. These patrols were great for the search for a new mate. She had taken her time. It was upon this very ridge that her true story had begun. She had freshly settled this area and cleared out the rogue wolves with Aspen. She had chased one final one up to this ledge. When she came into the cave behind she had found what the she-wolf was fighting so viciously for. She had puppies! Accalia was not normally cruel but she needed to show the she-wolf no mercy as she had refused to flee the lands that Accalia had wanted for her new pack and had not wanted to submit to the young Alpha. She slammed the enemy she-wolf down against the rocky floor and then rammed her hard into a pile of rocks. Accalia smirked as a rock fell pinning the she-wolf. "You have found a nice little cave. This will be my new den. The overlook is great for overlooking the dens of the pack below. Are you sure you don't want to join me?" she padded over to the trapped and injured wolf who snapped at her showing refusal. She shook her head as the wolf snarled out how packs are for weaklings. Accalia carried out 3 female pups and closing her eyes she did what she had to do. She looked at the sad, hollow look in the she-wolf's eyes before finishing her off. She had finished cleaning the cave and 3 days had passed. She awoke to a small snarling figure and couldn't help but to be amused by the young male's attempts to attack her. He couldn't have been older than 2 months as he smelled of meat and milk. He was small but he was strong and his antler tint coat with black was so handsome. "Hi, there little one! Did you lose your family?" She smiled as the young male said that he didn't know where his mom and sisters went. He had gone out exploring and came back to them missing. Accalia knew what had happened to his family, but she would make it right. This little pup would grow to be strong and she knew then and there she was bond to him. This young pup would be her mate when he grew.
