Palefire lived in the mountains, leaving her pack because her personality annoyed most of the other members. Soon after Hemlock let her join the Snow Sparks, and ever since she's also been annoying many of the other wolves, though she's gained some grudging respect for her decent hunting skills.
She had a quick fling with Flame, the memories of which soon soured when she had a litter of pups with only one survivor. She doesn't pay much mind to Embers now that he's weaned; the rest of the pack keep an eye out for him, and she never asked for any of this. Palefire wants to return to normal life as soon as she can, away from the burden of parenthood and death; she's getting old and wants to spend her twilight years teaching younger pack members and hanging out with Frostbite. It was on a trip searching for Slate that she died, freezing to death in the mountains.
