Yuwa

A little game trail winds its way across the crest of a hill, then down along the treeline toward a trickling stream. The air here smells clean. As you negotiate the path, you hear splashing in the water down below. Another inhale doesn't provide any answers, so you hustle along until your paws reach the water's edge.

In the deepest part, the slick dark back of a wolf is floating. There is a splash, then the head lifts out, a fish clutched in the soaked jaws. Bright blue eyes meet yours, and you wag your tail in a friendly manner. The wolf, clearly a powerful swimmer, paddles to shore and drops the fish at your feet.

"You're not from here, huh?" she asks, her voice soft, "Allow me to show you around."
