Upon the fourth day, as the sun broke through the fog, a golden hue stretched across the falls. The mist sparkled in the early morning light; gentle as it washed away the blood that had been spilled the night before. The river silt was drenched in the dark ichor, and littered with bodies that would soon be forgotten. But soon, soon, it would all but disappear in the same silence that it had occurred.
For the time being, however, Vrltis was pleased. She flicked blood from her sharp, golden claws, and stood. Her back to the dimming dusk as she set off for her next new "home".
