Theralite

Howlite and Oakley came from the same pack, seeking a new home. They never stated why exactly they had left their old pack, perhaps this was their secret to keep. The Dawnseekers responded with scepticism, but were direly in need of someone to help the inexperienced Slate with her pups, that had just been born. Seeing that Oakley was quite capable of caring for Howlite, Slate left her own children in her paws, keeping a close eye on her.

The cold reception took time to fade, but as Slate's children grew to become formidable members of the pack in her care, they let their walls down. She and Howlite were invited to join them in the Brightwater Cove, but she politely declined, saying that she preferred to watch the stars from out there. Eventually, she would have a litter of her own, a litter that Slate would make sure to bring back lots of gifts and stories with from her patrols.
