Known well for his piercingly strange eyes, Tarnei was always a strong-willed pup. He was head-strong and had amazing leadership skills -- skills that his mother Jakita would never fail to boast about. He often gave his friends headaches due to his "my way or the highway" attitude, but they never strayed far from him. He always had the ideas, the strategies, the logic. If it weren't for the Greyhide Sanctum's herbalist, Nix, Sable would've considered a position in hunting, or even the role of Beta, for Tarnei. But Nix snatched him up first -- she saw potential in him, and much to everyone's surprise, he had an interest in herbs and the healing methods Nix knew so well. He was enamoured by her abilities. With Nix getting old fast, he was quickly appointed as her successor. The day before his official ceremony, Nix passed away in her sleep. Tarnei found her in her nest. He was heartbroken, and stayed quiet for most of the day, but by his ceremony, he was back with that determined fire in his eyes. Tarnei is more of a handful than Nix ever was, but no matter how much the hunters squirm when they trudge up to him with an injury, he always manages to make them stay still and suck it up.
