Pecan "peh-kahn"
Ill-tempered and foul-mouthed, Pecan is an unlikely candidate for herbalist, but her extensive knowledge of herbs and plant life is essential to the Disciples' survival. Named after a nut native to northern Mexico and southern United States.
Although Pecan will tell you she was practically forced to stay with the Disciples, there's a lot to be said in the way she watches over the rest of the pack, fussing over their injuries in her own grouchy way, even as she applies salves and remedies with a tenderness that doesn't seem like her.
Although she doesn't seem the type, Pecan seems to communicate well with the forest foxes. Whether because she thrives under the trees just as they do or not is hard to tell. But often, when foraging, she is followed by families of foxes for mutual companionship.
