Ripple

The death of Ripple was the most painful of deaths for Honey- Ripple had been the first wolf she met as a wee pup- an almost sibling like relationship forming between the two instantaneously. And now... he was gone. 

She knew it had been a long time coming; the both of them had aged since pack life had begun, but still she was not prepared for the utter, heart-wrenching loss.

For days she howled for him, pacing their boundaries, aching with grief and age. 

He was listening, waiting patiently beside his mate for the day he would return her howl, and take her with him back to the Great Beyond.
