Artemis and Anubis, born in the same pack, had left their home to find a place for themselves. They traveled around until they found an area in the mountains that they found suitable for them to settle down in. Artemis explored the area while Anubis searched for herbs. Artemis would come around with a new wolf to join the pack. As the pack began to stabilize and numbers steadily grew, Artemis and Anubis had decided to start a family. When the pups were born Artemis, being a first time mother, watched over them herself to make sure they were safe at all times. When the puppies were old enough to explore around the territory Artemis went out exploring again. One day the pups never came back. Artemis frantically ran around her territory in search of her missing pups. The entire pack searched for days but no sign of the pups were ever found. Anubis tried his best to comfort his mate. She fell deeper into depression until Anubis motivated her to go out and travel like she always loved to do. On her path she caught the scent of a wolf. Quickly, Artemis ran towards it, as she got closer she slowed her pace until she stopped in her tracks. She was surprised to find a small puppy. She tried to find the scent of others around in case they had potentially lost track of their pup. Returning to the pup, she noticed the frail state of the pup. Artemis picked up the unconscious pup and made her way back to the den. Anubis was confused as Artemis walked into his medicinal cave carrying a puppy. She placed the puppy in front of Anubis and asked for him to make sure the pup was okay. Anubis couldn't tell of any injuries on the pup other than some scrapes. Day became night and Artemis took the pup into her den and made sure the pup stayed warm. Artemis refused to sleep that night. The pup began to stir and Artemis felt the pup snuggle closer to her. She had finally felt what she had lost not so long ago. As time passed, the pup, Keegan, filled the hole in her heart from the loss she experienced. Artemis took Keegan on as an apprentice, teaching her everything she knew about how to be a leader. Artemis took great pleasure in watching Keegan grow up, learn, and make bonds with packmates as well as a strong bond with Horus. Artemis felt her time was coming to an end. she said her final goodbyes and joined Anubis in the spirit realm, watching over the young leader and her pack grow into something bigger and better.
