As she neared seven years, a ceremonial battle was staged between her and her daughter, Pink Velvet. The younger wolf approached her with grace and confidence, wishing to take over her role as Finisher for the historic Strike Party. Crush, being a bit prideful, was hesitant at first. She thought it only fair for Velvet to prove herself to her.
Her strength intimidated Velvet, but she was more clever than her mother. Through a series of well-timed attacks, she managed to pin her down just long enough for Crush to surrender. She gazed up at her daughter with a wistful smile, proud of her accomplishment.
Her last hunt with Strike Party was 3/13/21. She acted as a pupsitter in her retirement and felt at peace knowing that Strike Party was in worthy paws.
