Berdly

The Alpha Male of Deltarune Pack.

Backstory:

(based on a warrior cats au KrisKat and I are making, but with wolves and some other differences. Also has tons of Deltarune references, some from the game others of my own interpretation and Kris's.)

Berdly was once apart of another pack before making his own. This pack was known as the Darkness Pack.The leader was known as Chaos, a cruel leader who treated his pack as nothing but slaves. Even the most loyal like-minded members of the pack were treated the same way. All Chaos cared about was power. 

Berdly's parents were very abusive towards him since the day he was born. He was often beaten by them, leading to several scars on his body throughout the time he spent living in Darkness Pack. He hated life in that pack. Every time he got injured, it was up to their herbalist Ralsei to tend to his wounds. Ralsei felt bad for the poor pup, who did nothing wrong to deserve the pain and misery.

Many times Berdly would sneak out of camp to get some time alone. His favorite place to visit was a small creek in the forest, where the birds were singing and the rays of sunshine lit up the area. It was the one place that felt very peaceful to him, and made him feel as if all his troubles were temporarily washed away. That was where he had met her.

On the opposite side of the creek was a beautiful golden wolf pup with brown covering the upper half of her body and red eyes. She appeared to be around his age. Berdly was startled at first, unsure what to say or do. This stranger could be friend or foe. Would she take him back his leader for punishment? He guessed the wolf could sense his fear as she lowered herself to the ground for a minute and rolled on her back, showing no harmful intentions. The stranger was quiet, in fact Berdly quickly learned she was mute, and she communicated with him in an alternate way, introducing herself as Kris, a member of Deltarune Pack. Since that day, the two visited each other at the creek as often as they could. Kris was Berdly's first real friend. Someone who didn't judge him or despise his existence. She treated him like an equal. He told her all his secrets, and she always listened to his vents, comforting him when he needed it most.

It wasn't until Berdly was almost a year old that things changed. Some things happened in the pack and Chaos had threatened to kill Berdly after the adolescent wolf was framed by another pack member. Ralsei had gotten a vision of the cruel leader killing him as a matter of fact. Seeing how scared the pup was, Ralsei snuck him out of the territory camp, away from an otherwise horrible fate. Ralsei had known about Berdly's meet ups with Kris (he had spied on Berdly a few times after becoming suspicious of him leaving), and planned to see if the leader of the neighboring pack (known as Asgore) would let him stay. It worked as the situation was explained, and Berdly couldn't have been more relieved. However, he was saddened when Ralsei had to go back home. Ralsei had promised to come back if he was able to, as well as making up a lie as to what happened to him if anyone asked.

A few months went by, and unfortunately Chaos had found out the truth of Berdly's whereabouts and Ralsei's involvement in his escape. Furious, the leader had exiled Ralsei, but not without getting his followers to severely wound him first. Barely conscious, Ralsei used whatever energy was left to leave the territory, heading for where Deltarune Pack lived. He was at the border of the neighboring pack's territory when everything went black. He didn't remember much of what happened after, but woke up in the herbalist's den of the other pack. The herbalist then explained that a couple patrolling pack members had found him as he passed out from his wounds. Upon asking where Berdly was, the young wolf had rushed into the herbalists den, looking relieved that his friend was back like he promised, but felt bad about what Ralsei had to suffer just for his sake.

It is unknown what became of Berdly's old pack, but some say the bloodthirsty pack is still somewhere out there causing pain and terror to other wolves and packs.

When Berdly was only 1 year and 6 months, he became the leader of Deltarune Pack after the old leader passed away of old age. His daughter Kris, who is still Berdly's best friend and now his mate, would become the Beta of the pack, trusting Berdly as the new leader and knowing his potential. It was around the same time that Ralsei became the new herbalist when the old one retired.
