𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐒

Koyama is the daughter of Tsukudo and Sekato. She was born in Moonhaven, an alluring pack of wolves that lived at the top of a mountain. She was the "princess" but lost her home to a pack of wolves called Ravenmire.

Koyama is the first leader of Nightvale. She came to the lands with her mate, Takeda, after losing her past pack, Moonhaven, suddenly one night. In an attempt to find her old pack or any clues to their whereabouts, she traveled east. She didn't find her pack but did meet many new wolves. After meeting all of them, she decided to officially start a pack of her own with Takeda. It would called Nightvale.

Koyama has five living children. Kimiko and Naomi were born shortly after creating Nightvale. Later she had Kaede and most recently, Kyuu and Eiju. All of her children, except Naomi, share the white blaze star on their forehead. Koyama's parents both had this marking as well and those born with it are considered to be "star-touched". Naomi was not born with this marking but was always treated as if she had it. Much later in her life, she would attempt to overthrow Koyama but failed resulting in her exile.

In the fifth spring, a solid black puppy was discovered by Gina, Kimiko's daughter. This puppy resembled that of Shideki, an old enemy of Koyama's first pack. It would later be discovered that this puppy was his grandchild. This puppy's father, Fate would later met Koyama. He shared his father's looks as well but the two did not fight over their fathers' old war. It was long behind them now. But she was able to find out what happened to them thanks to Fate. He was going far away and offered to leave his son with Koyama. Of course she accepted. The puppy would be renamed "Kuro" and eventually became one of Nightvale's scouts.

Not long after his son was born, Tosaku was murdered by Hikari, one of Kimiko's daughters. This came as a great shock to Koyama as she believed Hikari was someone she could confide in. But she was exiled along with Kagura who pledged her alliance to her. Koyama would not have a lot of time to mourn her old friend before being attacked by a rival pack with Naomi, her own daughter, as the leader. Hikari and Kagura were there as well, along with some older packmates who left Nightvale early on in it's creation.

After the attack, Koyama realized how old she was now. She was not the young leader that once lead Nightvale through valorous and victory. In dawn of the new day, she announced that her daughter, Kaede would be the next leader of Nightvale after her death.

Shortly after this attack, Koyama would have a dream of a beautiful place. It was an ethereal landscape with millions of stars scattered across this sky. It was quiet all but for the hush of the wind passing over the field before her. She could not move as a lithe, green serpent slithered up her forearm. It's eyes, ever glowing, in a yellow light that resembled hers. In the center of it's head was a white blaze, just as hers. The snake was not aggressive but there was a fire in it's eyes that chilled Koyama to her bone. When she awoke from this dream, Kaede had just given birth to her second son. He was almost green in color with the small, white blaze between his eyes. Koyama never spoke to anyone about her dream, but knew that this pup, Hebi, would play an important role in Nightvale's future someday.

Koyama is a quick-witted individual. She was raised by her father, Tsukudo, after her mother was murdered. Growing up, she did not have many friends but was greatly respected by her packmates. One of her only friends was named Ayame. She was trained to be Koyama's future protector. 

Koyama's bloodline shares a signature marking --> "White Blaze". At birth, Koyama's father dubbed her "The Mother of the Stars" . Every child she has that has been blessed by the heavens bares this marking and fulfills her title.
