A mortal wolf chosen by Sūtla Hawksoul to be his mate. Néleam was raised in the forests to the south and was accustomed to a life of plenty until her birth pack was ravaged by rabies and she fled to the north seeking a new life. A deep scar across her throat in the shape of her mother's teeth is the only reminder left of that past. Although she miraculously never contracted the illness herself, the wound damaged her vocal chords beyond repair so that the loudest she could speak was in a raspy whisper.
Not much is known about her relationship with Sūtla due to both her secrecy and the capricious nature of the god lurking within him. However, she truly loved him and stayed within the pack and near The Hawk only because she believed his soul would eventually return. The Hawk only tolerated her for her submissiveness and dutiful nature, treating her more as a servant than a companion. Having lost her family to the madness of rabies, Sūtla's descent and demise almost seemed natural to her. The remains of her pack's traditions show in her pelt, which she decorates religiously with medicinal flowers as a homage to her herbalist mother.
She is one of the few founders of the Aeskīr without a divine surname due to her strange nature. Her body is too weak to withstand the presence of a god within, a flaw shared by many of her descendants, who were often chased away soon after giving birth to the next generation or only allowed in the pack as mortal, powerless wolves.
