Biography
A simple glance is usually enough to identify Thorin, understand her inner workings, as despite her best efforts to master stoicism, she reads like an open book.
As dependable and responsible as one can possibly be, the she-wolf takes her leadership position with upmost seriousness. Until she meets her dying breath, the pack will not experience a single day of fasting. That is her promise. If she has to scavenge abandoned carcasses until the dead of the night to feed every last member of the Alliance, then so be it. She can take it.
Strict towards the members of her pack, she is even more so towards herself. Each defeat, whether it is the result of a political or physical confrontation, is both a blow from which she struggles to recover mentally and a weight on her mind. The ones who understand her may try to help alleviate the pain, but one can only do so much when the other party is unreceptive.
On the topic of her relationships, Thorin has always had trouble with them. While she may shine through her bravery in combat or her resourcefulness, making her a respectful leader, Thorin experiences difficulties in forming intimate and lasting relationships with others. Cold, professional relationships? Easy. Leading the pack? She’s a natural. Keeping a mate, being close to her children? Insurmountable. One of her daughters, who have long since left the Alliance, Skutt, had accused her of being too oppressive, of expecting too much out of others. Thorin couldn’t deny the truth back then and still can’t nowadays, as this is an aspect of herself that she can’t seem to get rid of. This lead to the departure of numerous werewolves from the Alliance, of people who couldn’t bear the weight of her disappointed gaze.
In her opinion, these individuals were not a great loss. It simply meant that they were not ambitious enough, that they did not deserve their place in the Alliance.

Born in a pack that was settled far beyond the neighbouring biomes, Thorin discovered from a rather young age that the life she was destined to there wasn't for her. Indeed, wars against werefelines and battles between rivalling packs were far too common, and so were the unnecessary deaths they caused.
Once she was of age, Thorin left her pack with an idea in mind : creating an alliance between packs, so that families no longer had to fight for territory and food, so that they could instead all cooperate for survival.
Thorin's journey led her to an abandoned forest, which she called the Deciduous Forest. As she took her full wolf form to hunt, she came across a young man who revealed himself to be a werewolf too. Without any words exchanged, they hunted together and caught their first prey on this new land. As they got to know each other, Thorin learned that Ulrak actually left his natal pack to form his own. However, once Thorin told him her plans for the future, he immediately asked if he could be part of it, as he had lived the same hardships as she did when he was but a pup and could relate to her desire for a better world for werewolves. She accepted to let him join her. After all, she would need as many allies as she could for her project to come to fruition.
However, as the two settled and started to scout the surrounding areas to talk about the Pack Alliance Project, they quickly realized that no packs were taking them seriously, as to them, the two young werewolves seemed to be nothing more than two disillusioned kids, not even capable of starting their own pack.
So, the decision was made. Thorin and Ulrak agreed to have pups together, more out of political necessity than any form of romantic love. Despite this being her first pregnancy, Thorin didn't come across any issues and was able to deliver safely, albeit a bit earlier than when she was due to. This, however, led to one very important issue : the two lovely pups, Skutt and Oresh, were born in winter. This unplanned event led to a bit of a panic. Ulrak, dutiful as always, took the initiative to meet other packs and beg them for help.
In a great act of kindness, Haggis from the Arch Canopy pack lent them two pupsitters to look out for the two fragile newborns. Thanks to his help, both Oresh and Skutt were able to make it safely to springtime.
Springtime however, calls for novelty. Having temporally recruited multiple werewolves and even regular wolves in the pack, both Thorin and Ulrak decided to keep their plans going. They took the opportunity to visit neighbouring packs, and three of them were charmed by the idea of an alliance between packs. Thus, the Alliance was able to grow, as three healthy pups were traded as a sign of peace.
Soon enough, more pups where given to the Alliance, and the pack grew. Sure, it wasn’t a traditional pack, but Thorin wouldn’t want it any other way. Sadly, her relationship with her two children degraded over time, especially after she had decided their future for them. Granted, she understood their unwillingness to comply (after all, didn’t she herself leave her pack because she was unsatisfied with the future it presented ?), but the Alliance couldn’t afford any false move or planning. She was ready to live with the guilt.
