Opal

A bright, cheerful she-wolf who joined the Crystal Peaks Pack at Queen Morgan's invitation when she was a just a year old. Even in old age, Opal was energetic and playful and always quite dedicated to the well-being of her pack and her family.  These traits made her one of Crystal Peak's best chasers under Morgan's reign, alongside Mica and Relic, as well as one of Morgan's more trusted advisors.  Many of Opal's best qualities live on in her descendants.

Notable Relationships:

Relic - Best friend -  Their similar ages and personalities made the two of them fast friends right from the start.  It was usual to see them together, chatting or sparring.  Many a day was spent with the two of them roaming about the territory, discovering good hunting spots and trails.  When Relic's mate passed away, Opal supported him tirelessly, always reminding him to live his own life to the fullest.

Artemis - First-born daughter. (1st Litter) - Opal was always proud of her daughter's precociousness and did her best to encourage Artemis in everything she did.  As Artemis grew older, however, Opal was always insistent that Artemis should relax a bit and take things a little less seriously, a message that was met with increasing annoyance.  Even so, Opal was pleased, if a bit surprised, when Artemis took one of Queen Morgan's sons as a mate.  Ultimately, they maintained a close relationship throughout Opal's life.

Minerva - Daughter. (1st Litter) - Minerva was the one that took after Opal the most, and thus she was the daughter that Opal found the easiest to raise.  They played and adventured together often, even long after Minerva reached adulthood.  They maintained a very close relationship throughout Opal's life.

Synin - Daughter. (1st Litter) - Synin's loner personality was worrisome to Opal for quite some time.  The extroverted she-wolf feared that her introverted daughter was unable to make friends and that she would end up lonely.  Such was not the case, however, and Opal learned to cherish the fact that Synin was simply different from her.  They stayed on good terms for most of Opal's life.

Zircon - First-born son. (2nd Litter) -   Zircon's low self-confidence was always a point of concern for Opal, and she spent a lot of time trying to build him up and encourage him.  Although she was both flattered and amused by his desire to be just like her, she was adamant that he should make sure to follow the path that he  wanted.  Although it was a slow process, Opal was ultimately proud of the growth that she got to see in her son. 

Sirius - Son. (3rd Litter) - In her twilight years, Opal found it a bit difficult to keep up with the rambunctious pup that was Sirius. But to her, age was just a number, and she refused to let it keep her from sharing some memorable adventures with her youngest son.  She was even able to see him grow up before her time came.  It was all she could have asked for.

Mica - Friend -  Opal held a lot of respect for the older she-wolf and they worked together well.  Though Mica's teasing about her friendship with Relic often got on her nerves, Opal maintained a fairly close friendship with her.

Oka - Friend - Opal was always fond of Oka and her motherly nature. While Opal didn't feel as if she necessarily needed the big she-wolf to look out for her, she appreciated it nonetheless. She was the one who first coined Oka's nickname of "Bear".

Shale - Friend - While not her usual companion, Opal had her fair share of adventures on the hunting trails with Shale.  She found him both dependable and easygoing and thus, a trusted friend.

Morgan - Friend -  While both she-wolfs were often too busy with their own pursuits to spend much time together, Opal found Morgan's company to be quite pleasant and thought her a good leader.  It saddened her to see the Queen become colder as the years passed, but she never doubted that Morgan tried her best for pack.
