As you are lead to the pack's clearing you see pups, running and playing outside of their den. A large golden she-wolf lays nearby, glowing in the sunlight. She watches the pups intensely, her sun fluffed fur rippling as she grooms herself. Her observant amber eyes meet yours and you feel a chill go down your spine, she is the most beautiful creature you've ever laid eyes on. Doug catches you staring and flicks his ear in her direction before clearing his throat, "That's Emerald." Upon hearing her name the she-wolf rise and trots over to join you both, giving a black she-wolf who was also watching the pups an apologetic look. "Welcome home." She barked, nuzzling the alpha and planting a lick on his frost coloured snout, the couple share a loving look and smile. Turning to you she sighed, "Another lost pup? You look starved, we have plenty of food to spare." As she speaks she glances towards the pups, her work never done, then back to you for your reply.
Emerald is the beta, she is kind, caring and loving to all members of the pack. Her observant nature makes her perfect for watching the pups and keeping them safe from danger, it also means she is quick to notice when a wolf's intention is not pure.
