Eyarq

- A loud and boisterous young wolf

- Bullies Quohau'ru (and the other puppies). Calls her "roas", meaning mud-fur, and says she doesn't belong in the desert or the forest, as she can never truly blend in.

- Tanana is deeply upset by Eyarq's behaviour, and hopes she will grow out of it

- Eyarq deeply resents Quohau'ru. Her Aunty and Uncle treat their only daughter like the most precious thing in the world, and Eyarq thinks she doesn't deserve all the praise and attention she gets

Name means: Bossy and rude, yet clever and a good leader

Year 2: Eyarq debates running away, but ends up joining the younger generation's hunting team. She causes trouble deliberately at first, trying to make Quohau'ru and the others look bad, but soon changes her attitude when faced with an empty stomach.

Her bitterness has only grown, with her two siblings mostly avoiding her outside of the hunt. She spends her time tagging along after Huth, whenever her cousin isn't with Quo and Berouthe, but doesn't really engage with any pack activities.

Eyarq is often the first to start an argument, and the last to finish it. She thinks it's her job to make sure everything goes perfectly, and when it doesn't go her way, she lashes out. She no longer talks to her mother, sick of the lectures on proper behaviour, and only sticks with the pack for the safety and reliable food source.
