Birchthroat was discovered by Dream wandering about. She asked him very simply if he'd be interested in joining her pack, smiled, and said yes. He joined after Goldfeather, making him the third male of the pack. He helps scout with Woodpelt as he thinks he wouldn't be a great hunter. However, Dream thinks he only chose to be a scout because Woodpelt decided to as well.
