Morgan

Morgan founded the Crystal Peaks Pack on 10/29/20 with the help of her brother Shale.  A tireless worker, Morgan has built her pack up into a thriving little community and strives to ensure stable lives for all within her pack.  She possesses the ambition to be known as a "Queen of the North," and politely, but (increasingly) firmly demands respect from other wolves and their packs.  She is quick to stamp out both outside threats and dissent within her pack.

Morgan is a tenacious she-wolf with an affinity for the colder climates. She is both kind and gentle, unlikely to show aggression unless provoked.  She sees the members of her pack as family, and treats them as such.  However, the harsh nature of her territory has worn away whatever romanticism and laxness she held in her youth.  Dedicated as she is to her work, she heavily disapproves of wolves who are prone to slacking off or wasting time.  She is pragmatic, and demands that all wolves in her pack pull their own weight. They must, if the pack is to survive.

Even so, Morgan is not completely governed by reason.  There is an optimism that clings to her, a desire to both see and bring out the good in the wolves around her, a belief that everything will turn out alright in the end.  She fears who she could become without these things.

Notable Pack Relationships:

Shale --Brother -- Morgan has maintained a close relationship with her brother since they were pups.  For a time, it was just the two of them against the world.  She disapproves of his recklessness, but also sees it as a reason to stick together.  Where would he be without her to balance him out, after all? Currently, she sees him as the closest thing she has to a second-in-command, and she still spends a fair amount of time with him and his pups. 

Slate --Son --Morgan is exceptionally close with her firstborn son, perhaps because she sees much of herself reflected in him. She appreciates his serious nature and his attentiveness to her teachings, and sees within him a potential heir for her position as pack leader.

Onyx -- Son -- Morgan connects well with Onyx, though she is continually amazed by his ability to not accomplish his pack duties, but accomplish them well, all while he has his head in the clouds.  Lighthearted as he is, Morgan does not wish to saddle him with all of the responsibilities of leadership.

Jasper --Son -- Morgan loves him dearly, but despises his penchant for avoiding pack duties and/or pawning them off to his packmates.  They quarrel often--at least, when Morgan can find him.

Mica -- Mentor/Close Friend -- One of the first members of the pack, Mica has long been a source of advice and conversation for Morgan.  They walk together often, quietly devising plots to pair up their pups.  How else are either of them going to see grandchildren before they die?

Oka -- Sister-in-Law -- Morgan has a lot of respect for this bear of a she-wolf.  Oka's charisma and hunting skills did much to grow their pack in the beginning.  Besides, she makes Shale happy, and who is Morgan to find fault with that?

Rift -- Advisor/Former Crush -- Despite their clashing worldviews, Morgan had always admired Rift's honesty and conviction.  For at time, she hoped that they could be something more but, alas.  Despite the rejection, she still considers him a friend, and finds his advice invaluable precisely they are not always in agreement.

Basalt -- Advisor/Close Friend -- Morgan trusts him with her life.  Literally.

Opal --Friend -- Morgan likes her enthusiasm and dedication to the pack.  She considers Opal to be the ray of sunshine that they need whenever times get tough.

Citrine --Friend -- Morgan doesn't completely understand Citrine's pessimism, but they get along well enough.  She might even go as far as to say that Citrine's dry comments can be quite amusing.  Sometimes.

Relic -- Pack Hunter -- Morgan finds him to be a very hardworking and trustworthy individual.  Though she is, perhaps, just a little bit jealous of his relationship with Rift...

Topaz -- Pack Pupsitter -- Morgan considers her to be a sweet wolf with an affinity for young pups, though she doesn't know much more about her than that.
