Mother to Pinecone and Dustup, Alpine was the first wolf to join up with Trapper, making her a co-founder of the Vanguard's pack. She is the red oni to Trapper's blue oni, and she helps with organization as well as selecting which wolves receive which roles. She became a scout out of necessity, and she does not particularly enjoy the role.
Though Trapper is obligated to breed many different females, Alpine is his "main" mate, and the two spend much time courting each other.
