Because of his role as breeding male, none of the wolves in the pack are interested in being his life partner.

On one of his last scouting missions into the Glacier region, he did not return. Henna found his body and brought it back so he could rest with his fellow star-bound packmates.
His dedication as a scout to the very end was highly admired.
