Ah, back when we had first found Shirou. Deemed a failure by his birth pack, he had wandered up to the Akuma's mountain. Muzan took a liking to the pup, and decided to take them in. Kangaeru decided to take him up as her apprentice. Kangaeru forged a deep bond with Shirou. That bond would last until Kangaeru succumbed to death. He had to carry on as the pack's only scout until a new one was put in place. And that wolf was Ketsueki. She had come from a similar background from Shirou. Sent away from her pack, found by the Akuma. Except this time, it was Shirou who found them. He took her under his wing, and she was to be his apprentice.
