When Coquille was set on a path, nothing short of a meteor falling from the sky would deter her from it. Her optimism knew no boundaries or shortcuts; she knew everything would turn out okay, so long as she works for it! Her driven nature could be intimidating to gentler wolves, and she was notorious for her stubborn ways, but it was hard not to like Coquille- especially since if she wanted you to like her, she'd stop at nothing to see it happen.
Her retirement was difficult- an injury while out scouting kept popping up again and again, and finally Willamette told her that if she didn't retire, she'd end up collapsing out in the rainforest somewhere with no hope of anyone finding her. Coquille was stubborn, but she wasn't stupid. As a pupsitter, Coquille still took long walks around the territory, unsure what to make of her new lot in life. Lostine helped. Of course, the new pupsitter always knew she liked Lostine in that way, it was just a matter of waiting for the other she-wolf to realize it, too. The pair spent a lot of time together, and hearing about her mate's adventures almost filled that hole left behind in her heart.
