Valentine has a weird, complex history. As a young wolf, he was displaced in time. His intent was to peacefully live out his life on his own.
Then he met Hollis, immediately fell in love, and revised his plans a little bit. He had to revise them further as Hollis’s likability and skills as an herbalist continued to attract other wolves to their growing pack.
