Savu = Shadow

Being the runt of the litter, Savu was always a bit left behind his brother and sisters. He was the slowest and weakest and lost every single playfight that he had with the other pups. Often he found himself wondering if he'd ever find his place in the pack, if he could ever be as strong as all the others were.

One wolf in particular encouraged him lots of times, spent her time with him and even trained with him, when the pupsitters could spare them free-time. Athena, the oldest daughter of Pack Leader Flint, adored the little puppy. She felt a close connection to him, as if he were her own brother.

One day, when he was just 3 ½ months old, the young wolf wandered off the trail, trying to prove his bravery and bring back new storys from his adventure. He wanted to be recognized by the pack, wanted to prove his worth. But he didn't return.

While Flint patrolled his territory, he notice a treachery of ravens circling nearby. He rushed over in their direction, hoping for an easy meal, but instead finds the corpse of a familiar pup. Judging by the scent, he determined that it is none other than Savu, who went missing a few days back.

He carried the corpse back to its family, Athena and the pupsitters rushing to his side, howling in pain. His three siblings made their way slowly to the dead body, not fully realizing that their smallest brother would not ever return to the living. They could never play again, never chase each others tails or share food together.
