Akantha was another pup found soon after Sophia and the others her age in a string of incidents were a good few pups were collected at the border and brought into the pack for safekeeping. Akantha, like most pups her age, found their primary comfort in Althea, an old but beautiful dame who worked in the nursery and cared for the lost pups. Akantha soon formed a close bond with the other pups her age: Thalia, Sophia, Vesta, and Delphi, and as the five of them reached their adulthood, they were prepped and primed to form their own hunting party.
