Alpha | Protector | Master of Ceremonies
Tokalu's reign began 1/11/21 when the previous Whitethorn alpha, Mohaven , personally selected him to lead the pack into the future.
Now Tokalu looks after his family by assisting the hunters, scouts, and herbalist by bringing back his findings from the wild lands. While he is still learning the in's and out's of pack life and traditions, there is no doubt of his skills as a leader.
In addition to helping the adults of the pack, Tokalu also has a paw in selecting pups to become Ascendants, and declaring their puppyhood name. This is done upon weaning from the mother, a small ceremony is held once the sun has reached it's highest point in the sky. The pupsitters, herbalist, and nursing mothers gather around Tokalu and the pups to be Ascended to show their support and solidarity. The pups are then quietly assessed for a few moments before being given their name and future role within the pack. Once all pups have had their turn of proclamations, flower petals are thrown into the air by all adults in celebration!
