Shadestone was the first wolf to join Seagaze's pack. She found him on his own when she was first settling in with Tala's help. Shadestone was a friendly wolf immediately taking to Seagaze and her offer of a pack and a home with barely any convincing from Tala.
Shadestone doesn't speak much of his past but there's a great sadness behind his friendly smiles and a cheery disposition that leads Seagaze to think that whatever happened to him wasn't good. Shadestone easily fell into the role of Hunter in Seagaze's pack and dutifully makes sure he brings food back for the pack. He takes his job as a Chaser very seriously immediately taking the lead after the pack's Stalker Acorn catches a scent trail.
There was a little flame between him and Seagaze that resulted in them having two sons: Magpie and Skywatcher. Though the two are friends they never committed to being mates and both are okay with that while still doing what is best for their sons.
