Biography
First Runt of The Sanctuary Pack.Â
Mother: Seven (adopted), Rover (adopted)
Siblings: Rime (sister, adopted), Setter (younger sister, adopted), Dane (younger brother, adopted)
Personality: Friendly but quiet, Eight is less rambunctious than her yearmates. She gets along with them well, but is likely to retreat to a quiet corner when things start to get too rowdy. Later in life, she grows increasingly serious and introspective, burdened by the sometimes grim duties of a healer.
Naming Conventions: Special: Runt (legacy)
Eight, along with her siblings Harvey and Bella, are foundlings. Lead Hunter Hat Trick found them litter abandoned in Sanctuary territory. The pack took them in, and Pack Leader Seven nursed them alongside her own pup, Rime. Unfortunately, fragile Bella passed away, and Harvey, growing dissatisfied with his place in Sanctuary, eventually left to join the Pine Grove pack instead.
Eight, alone of her siblings, stuck around. While sociable, these early losses have given her a sad, quiet air that's lingered into her adolescence.Â
She was named after Pack Leader Seven's younger brother; Eight I was himself the runt of the pack, and was killed by hunters. He and Seven were close-- she hopes Eight II will inherit his namesake's resilience and optimism in the face of adversity.
As of Winter Two, Eight and Dace are courting.
