Lucky Serval

Serval was born in Fall 2020 out of chaser Scotch & alpha Lucky Strike's first litter. She was the only pup with a breed-only base. She inherited her sire's striking black markings & blaze and shows signs of his spirited, impulsive nature.

Upon the death of her mother Scotch, she took over her role as chaser for Strike Party. She was not thrilled to rescind her former status as a Lead, as she was in Nuclear Party, understood the significance of joining her new cohort of older wolves.
Seltzer, Roserie, and Velvet Crush did not show immediate warmth to the new female. They expected her to perform with confidence given her level of experience. She may have felt quite isolated if not for the interest of the younger and inexperienced Slaven, who looked to her with some admiration. Serval still had some trouble accepting this, harboring some jealousy toward Slaven, who, at just a year old, was already stronger and wiser than her!

Her first hunt with Strike Party was successful, securing a rabbit during the last day of Winter on 1/23/21 in the Mountains.

Upon Roserie's retirement, Serval felt somewhat freed of her performance anxiety without the presence of older wolves. She felt renewed vigor in leading the chasers, and delighted in newcomer Lottery's quiet willingness to follow her.
