Tamaski

Alpha Male of the Duvaa Pack, and mate to Sandy.

Coming from a distant land where it was common for large packs of both unrelated and related wolves, Tamaski is the outcome of his mother's first affair with a handsome outsider. It is relatively common to find wolves who have single-night stands in the part of the world that he was born. The Pack of Warm Cedar is a rather organized pack, having only a few of the best pups stay to become apprentices. Tamaski was not one of them, and so he went out in the world in search for a place that would accept him. He was not out in the wild for long before running into the WildRiver Woodlands, but his naturally pessimistic thought process made it seem much longer. 

When he first ran into Sandy, he had expected her to attack him, as that was often the case with some packs, but he was startled by her warmth and welcoming personality. He soon found himself travelling to the same fallen log that they met at every morning, although she was not always able to make the trek.

One day, while waiting for Sandy, a wolf flashed by, in pursuit of prey. Hoping it was Sandy, Tamaski came out from his hiding place to get a better look, only to startle the prey away and catch the other wolf's attention, whom was not Sandy. In her frustration from losing her prey and the surprise of seeing a stranger in her pack's territory, Lola, Sandy's sister, did what any wolf would normally do: she attacked, forcing him to flee with heavy injuries.

He spent the first few nights resting, as it was painful for him to move, until he decided to visit the log one more time. Sandy was there, waiting for him, and carrying a special balm made by the local herbalist, Heinley, to help with his wounds. She informed him that she left her pack, but was hoping to stay relatively close by, which Tamaski respected. He was filled with warmth in seeing how this wolf would give up her whole pack for him, and after they had chosen their forever home, her charismatic personality had rubbed off on him, bringing him more confidence in his interactions and day-to-day activities. 

Excited about the newfound freedom from being together in their own pack, Sandy and Tamaski had puppies relatively late in their first season. Because of this, they did not have puppies their second season, but have continued having puppies each season since.
